Rifat KORAY Gökan is looking at the interrelationships between man and nature. After an initial phase of immersion in a contemplative form of naturalism, it is forwarded to an evolution which gradually led him along paths abstract.
He has a long experience of teaching at the faculty of architecture at the University of Istanbul, where for many years, has taught "basic design" deepening geometric shapes applied to the models of infrastructure and design. In his works is perpetually on the border between reality and abstraction, between rationality and emotion that seeks to combine compositions with intense fascination. If the concrete element is the nature, geometric shapes make up the abstract element. The dialogue between the two aspects is the possibility to tune the harmony of nature with the balance of geometric models through the rhythms of color and composition.
