Simo Olavi Nygren ,who sings joy of living in his paintings is a Finish painter but has lived most of his life in Italy,. His paintings are of enjoyment of light and color, especially in flowers and landscapes.
He studied painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, where his teacher was Professor Domenico Purificato.
At times, he remembers so suddenly those reddish yellow flashes that reveal a high emotional involvement. Nygren paints what he sees, but uses the colors of his heart.
Sometimes his compositions seem to come from the distant memories of his childhood that carries always within himself and which appear so suddenly to the World and onto his canvases.
Today, Simo Nygren lives and works in Padenghe sul Garda in Italy and a few months a year in Istanbul, Turkey.

His figurative missive urges us to understand that we are all one and we must live in harmony with everything, respecting other beings.
